Seminggu di Bali

 Ini adalah trip ke Bali paling panjang seumur hidupku. Ikutan tren wedding in Bali dan work from Bali, aku dan E terbang Jumat dari Jakarta, dan kembali minggu depannya - 10 hari total!

Karena bukan tipe liburan panjang dan bukan pecinta Bali setiap kali ditanya, ini bisa dibilang rekor dan pengalaman baru dalam hidup sebagai pegawai kantoran. 

Bisa dibilang, semua bisa terjadi karena pandemi. My brother had his intimate wedding with families in a luxury hotel in Nusa Dua, Bali. Real intimate dengan 50 orang hadirin (vs mine back then 1000 pax in one of Jakarta's reception hall).

Kedua, karena efek pandemi, kantorku menerapkan WFA policy -- Work from Anywhere, so I do it right after the announcement was out :p. So I'd like to record it in my memory how I am amazed with Bali & its beauty. Now I understand why people from all over the world come, visit, and love Bali so much. 

So, here we go Bali.

1. Nusa Dua, komplek eksklusif resort mewah

Dapat kesempatan nyicipin Hotel Apurva Kempinski, mungkin salah satu hotel termewah yang pernah diinepin. Puji Tuhan masih dapat berkat dan kesempatan buat nginep di sini. 

2. Canggu, the hype region for global citizens

Di sini bener-bener berasa minoritas sebagai orang Indo. isinya bule-bule surfing pagi, ngopi & work from cafe siang, nongkrong2 malem. Super (young) expats friendly. 

Btw kami super happy nginep di villa tamarind canggu, book via airbnb.

3. Nusa Penida, beautiful beach & sites for the adventurers

Ga nyesel mengulang nusa penida -- kalau sebelumnya day trip kejar tayang foto2, kali ini menginap semalam -- bisa dibilang hampir mengelilingi pulau dari barat ke timur. best spots so far: ocean beach (turun dari tebing - not kids friendly) dan cafe bule penida colada.

4.  Seminyak, when locals meet international tourists

Se-hits itu sih seminyak. Full of cafes, restaurants, and night club kekinian. Isinya lumayan balance antara turis Jk-Sby, bule, dan nomad yang stay long term di bali. 

5.  Legian, seems sunset for cool nightlife

They are trying so hard to make it hype again. Club dan diskotis (yes - it still exists) berjejeran, tapi sayangnya terasa menua, dan lebih ada feel bronx nya dibanding area-area sebelumnya di atas. (Harusnya) pusat turis asing, tapi terasa sepiiii semasa pandemi ini.

• taking a day off
• swimming in the morning
• must have birthday dish: noodle for long life (abit of chinese tradition checked). tried a new hype bakmi place in jaksel : bakmi sedjuk, unusual place to eat bakmi but there we were.
• first time picnic in jakarta (know how i am obsessed trying something new, something random like this), with my loved one ❤️
• didn't expect E have rented picnic props : tikar piknik, keranjang, snack, ukulele and such -- this makes me extra happy 😊
• read a book at our picnic venue, hutan kota senayan
• yummy carrot cake as my bday cake this year -- another wish comes true, didn't expect my husband (finally 🤭) remember this kind of things
• got the sweetest birthday card from him too, (surely he learnt and improved alot knowing what I like. )
• had birthday lunch day+1 with family at braziliam buffet, FOGO (another first time for us, so yeayy!) . taste different but it's good for meatlover like me . :) 

and closing this weekend by chillin at home.
