PENANG, food hunting

here comes my mid semester break.

senin kemarin, aku, nukke, novita roommate, andre, iwan, tri, steven ke pulau penang..
agak2 last minute decision sebenernya, gara2 susah banget dapet mobil rental buat 7 orang. minggu jam 5 triandi baru telp, "mik. ada nih mobilnya NAZA rm250, ok ga?" hmmph. sebenernya itu super mahal dan di atas ekspektasi kita buat budget mobil. tapi karena uda cari sana sini ga dapet2, akhirnya okelah diambil aja.

Janjian terima mobil hari senin jam 8, kita smua uda nunggu di lobby LV. tapi ternyata orangnya baru dateng jam 9 kurang 10 menit. ckkck. orang indo, orang indo.. kalo ngaret terus kapan majunya.. setelah beberapa menit administrasi, kita cauu ke penang langsung dengan disupirin andre. jam 1 siang sampai di georgetown penang.. makan siang pertama di resto kapitan, ini tempat makan india gt. aku pesen chicken milani *their special menu* hmmm. awesome. enaaak. ga mahal jg loh. rm6.50

tujuan kedua check in hotel. setelah mencoba 2 guest house yg ternyata not available, akhirnya kita nginep di hotel oriental, 1 family room buat ber7, super hemat, rm138. hihi.
sorenya kita ke batu ferringhi beach, masuk ke hard rock hotel, lalu main2 di pantainya. dari sana lanjut ke Toy Museum, lalu ke gurney drive, makan pasembur, rojak bakwan. hmm gimbal udangnya mantap! terus abang2 yg jual juga gaya gituu jualannya, sambil nyanyi2 sama goyang2 muter2 ngeramu rojaknya. malem puter2 georgetown, jajan2, foto2.

pagi jalan2 ke pasar, breakfast. makanan disana emang super murah. 1 porsi mie bisa cuma rm2.50, minum tea o hot cuma rm 0.80. Lalu kami ke penang hill, naik cable car ke hillnya, liat2.. terus ke Kek Lok si tample, n last but not least ke jetty. jetty ini ky perumahan kecil yg dibangun di atas laut, rumahnya semua dari kayu. very unique. akhirnya kita pulang dehh ke sunway. bye bye penang..

tengah malam, ke murni ss2 for supper. makan enak lagi. cheese naan, roti hawaian, roti beckham, nasi goreng maryland, nasi goreng napoleon, lo shi fun.

hasil food hunting kita kali ini:
chicken misala-kapitan, fried oyster, prawn mee, char kuey teow, rojak, jawa mee, ais kacang, asam laksa, buah pala ais, bacang enak, kue keladi, ba kut teh.

weekend ironi

everytime friday, the last day of the weekday comes, i always be full of joy.
even when i have no plan at all, having the weekday flew by and the weekend coming is just awesome!!
after hardworking days, a lot of assignments, classes, and assessment, i just feel to REST. to take a break for a moment, take time not to think about chemistry biology statistic and math. studylife in monash is definitely not the same as in MUFY sunway. i can say that monash 1st year is triple of MUFY.. but it means u really learn somethin right.. When u feel it's simple n easy *like i used to think about mufy*, actually u didnt learn much. u didnt expand urself. didnt gain some knowledge, or only gain Little knowledge..

um. ok. the point is, me n all of my monash friends are always very excited having weekend.. the most common things to do is go pyramid, eat somewhere there, go to supermarket, jajan somethin.. it seems so fun at that point, but then it gives bad effect. :((
no matter how less money i spend during weekday, i will always lack of money after weekend..
though i count every cent i spent, i still have no saving.
arghh.. compare to some of my friends, they seems spend without thinking.. watch movie 3 times a week, karaoke, buy new shoes also dont really matter.. huhuhu.. no, no i dont want to watch movie too often, i also dont want to buy new stuff everyweek. but i love love to try new things.

eat in pyramid costs me 10-20plus ringgit per visit. rm10 for McD *see, even ONLY McD also cost money!* 20plus if we want to go to resto. as a result, my 2 days weekend can cost me same or more than my 5 days weekdays.. grrr.. wat an expensive weekend!

i cannot stay at home in front of my lapotop for the whole day. i just cant stand for it.
u can ask my family, i ll be bored, gelisah, bingung when i have nothing to do at home. even at my hometown, where there is TV, piano, internet, telp, n everythin. still i cant stand :(( so, i hv to face the consequence. for me going out = happy, meanwhile, most of the time, going out = spend money..
so, is it really true that spend money = happy.
i dont think so...

does it mean i need some more money? im not sure either. people say, 'we will never have enough' it's not that easy to make us satisfy and be quiet. we, human will always ask for more. that's human nature.

discovering malaysia

last weekend was a blast!!
i went jalan-jalan with church friends, 14 of us with 3 cars went to sungai besar, kuala selangor, sekincan, and hotspring.. wohoo!!!

sunday afternoon, after having lunch in medan, we started our journey, 1.30 pm. 4.45 we reach at hotel, sungai besar, check in for a while, n took a walk near the beach.. our room was built above the sea! one thing i courious, at night the sea supposed to be 'pasang' right, and the water level should be increase.. but there, at night, no more water below our room u know.. i feel weird. 7 girls stayed in 1 room and 6 boys in another room.

6.30 p.m we went out for dinner in sekinchan.. it was shervinn's relative place.. awesome!! we ate lots of seafood. large fish, prawn, balitong, and sotong.. i love the sotong so much.. they told us it was sotong that doesn't produce ink. it was small n very soft. hmmmm.. and guess what, after those satisfaction moment, we only spent rm10 per person!! imagine that! if only we spent rm10 in kL, we can only get 1 McD set meal. :((

that night we continued our journey to kuala selangor, to see kelip-kelip (kunang-kunang red.) we rode a boat and went through the river.. btw, i just realize, the one that shine in kelip2 is their BUTT.. means all the visitors go there to look for kelipkelip's BUTT.. hahaha.. need to pay rm15 pula.. what a precious butt... :P

Though i coul still feel the food inside my stomach, we all went makan again!! try the satay and Es ABC.. hmmm.. delicious. Along the nite, we all play WOLF card together.

monday morning
eat char kuey teow, then went to kuala selangor for hotspring.. there are many ponds with different temperature, 30, 50 degree.. there's also an are for boiling egg.. all we need to do is just put the egg and wait for 8 min. hmm the egg taste much more tasty than usual *sugesti*
for dinner we had mi bebek.

nice trip man!
cant wait for the next jalanjalan!! :))
